Stage three shaping up at Longreach

02/04/20

The team at Longreach hope everyone is safe and well during this unprecedented time. With access to site not permitted and works on hold until we come out of the COVID-19 Level 4 lockdown, we reflect on the progress made since works began in the third quarter of 2019.

With the great weather throughout summer, works have progressed at pace. We are approximately 70% through bulk earthworks, with the eastern end of the site, closest to the Purangi Estuary, at finished levels ready to be top soiled. Simultaneously, wastewater and stormwater reticulation are progressing well, with rain gardens and drainage underway.

Roading has begun on Roads D and E, and planning is underway to widen Purangi Road that runs alongside the Longreach development, providing safer passage for residents and visitors to Cook’s Beach. Construction on the pedestrian crossing has commenced which will provide safe and easy access to the children’s playground located in the established part of Longreach.

The Longreach development at Cooks Beach is proving to be popular with only a handful of Stage 3 sites remaining. Luckily for those still wanting to secure their piece of the Coromandel summer dream, Stage 4 has been released for sale. With beautiful views from the elevated sites and walking distance to the Purangi Estuary, Longreach will be a wonderful place to spend long summer days and cosy winter weekends.

We are unable to conduct site visits or meet in person during this time of COVID-19 Level 4 lockdown. However, the Longreach team is available by phone and email with a range of digital tools, information, and site photos to assist your information requests.
