The perfect day to discover Launch Bay

19/03/19

The recent Launch Bay opening perfectly reflected the lifestyle Launch Bay inspires. Hundreds of people came along to see what Launch Bay was all about and view the current offerings. After having fun at Launch Bay, people finished their visit to Hobsonville Point with a short stroll along the boardwalk to Catalina Bay to enjoy one of the wonderful eateries and mooch around the farmers market.

The Oval House show suite attracted plenty of attention as it proudly sat elevated from the activities on the oval. With great feedback from those that visited, favourite features included: the spacious and quality kitchen that flowed out onto the dining, living and outdoor area, the enticing view from the balcony upstairs, the overall design of the homes and the spacious feel of the entire development.

The history associated with the former air force base has been core to the masterplan of the development. The orderly formation of the Oval Houses almost mirroring that of the Officers’ Houses, and the enhancement of the grass oval to cement its significance in the community for many years to come. The heritage and prestige of the married officers’ homes was frequently discussed by visitors on launch day, with varied thoughts on whether to retain the existing character of the internal layout and décor. Albeit many are drawn to the consented renovation plans to open the layout up to encourage the kiwi indoor/outdoor flow.

The show suite is open Wednesday to Sunday 11am – 2pm on the corner of Hudson Bay Road and Marlborough Crescent.
